Training should be fun.  They can learn and have fun at the same time.

see how much fun we have doing lessons.  it's an absolute blast.

When you have a herding breed, it is important to give them a job to do.

A beach, or dog park, is a great place to work off your dogs energy.

Yes they are learning.  The ball belongs to us, not them.  So they can't fight over it.
